I first visited Herm in 1982 with my late husband and daughter, leaving my son of 6 months at home with granny.

It was our first holiday for several years and we wanted peace and tranquility to spend time with our daughter who was not too impressed having to share her mum and dad!

We continued to spend holidays on Herm for the next 11 years.

We have returned several times since but without my husband. It was his favourite place in all the world and wanted his ashes scattered on herm. We all love the island to bits, but now we have another reason for returning and hope to be able to continue for many years to come.

No one can decribe how wonderful the island is... they have to visit to see for themselves... but not too many that there are no rooms left for us!
